Wookstock V (July 1999) - Lawtons, NY

My memories are sort of vague, cluttered, in no order. Hm, maybe I will go in chrono order to let you know what happened. Yeahhhh...that's the ticket.

I fly up to Buffalo (what the hell was I thinking when I considered driving up there? Hellooooo!). Anyway, I get there and walk around the baggage claim area for a bit wondering where Bricker is (he's supposed to pick me up) Finally about half an hour later I decide to walk outside and see if he's driving out there. "CHIA!" I hear. I look over and some blonde girl is yelling. I haven't a clue who this nutty girl in the Dodge Neon is but I walk over anyway. Woohoo! It's Bricker and crew. They brought two cars of people for me. Off to Wookstock! Nope, they want to eat first. And they decide TGI Fridays is good. To think that they have the gall to say I'm the most conservative person there. Gimme a break guys, I left from work.

So, back to Lawtons after eating food. Bricker ate like a champ. I was thoroughly impressed. Mac on the otherhand was an eating wussy. You know Mac, there are kids starving in some countries...

We get to Lawtons and I see my cousin Jen and a few other people standing around the fire. Hangin', chillin', whoah...what's that voice? Sounds like Ravi. Nah, couldn't be. He said he wasn't coming. But wooooo, it was him. So we got Ravi and Jess, my cousin Jen and all the wonderful hot wings from Duff and the rest of the crew (Mac, Annie, Bricker, Sam, Wes, Rada, Astrid), one of the kegs is tapped, the fire is a roarin'...a good night. A game of Asshole quickly starts by the fire as we catch up on old times as start our trash talking through the night.

The Friday night activities for early arrivals...a friendly card game.

Time for bed. Ravi and Jess didn't bring a tent, and me the great planner forgot to bring a sleeping bag. What a dolt I tell ya.

Bricker and some freak after a couple of pre-noon games

Ahhhh, Saturday morning. Of course we're up early because the sun turned our tents into little ovens. Criminy it was steamy in there. So what are we going to do? Beer bowl at 8:30. Ahhh, much better. I felt better, they felt better, we all felt good.

Good morning...the rock, the radio, the early risers

Gibby came with his cousin and friend, set up the Boy Scout lean-to and joined the festivities with us after the early morning hours moved on. Then Proctor showed up (awwww yeah) and it just turned into a groovy day.

But ya know what? I'm tired right now. You can get Chapters 2 and 3 (if I need to go onto 3) later. Just waaaay too many weird details that need to be explained and such. I'll leave you with a few teasers though...

    1) I was a great influence on my God Daughter
    2) Team Testoserone
    3) Team Astigin
    4) Mmmm...the omelettes

Yer just dyin' to know what I'm talking about, aren't you?

Then go to Chapter 2 If you're ready.

If you've done that, go to Chapter 3 then.
